Report: Former Bengals RB Rudi Johnson passes away at 45

Previous Cincinnati Bengals running back Rudi Johnson has passed away at age 45, TMZ Sports reported on Tuesday.

Cops informed the media outlet that Johnson passed away by suicide in Florida following midnight on Tuesday.

A fourth-round draft choice by Cincinnati in 2001, Johnson played seven periods with the Bengals prior to finishing his career with the Detroit Lions in 2008 He established the Bengals’ single-season record with 1, 458 hurrying yards in 2005

The 2004 Pro Bowl option rushed for greater than 1, 300 yards and scored 12 touchdowns in three straight periods from 2004 – 06

Johnson ended his profession with 5, 979 hurrying backyards and 49 TDs plus 113 catches for 676 backyards and two scores in 95 games (63 beginnings). He ranks 4th on Cincinnati’s all-time hurrying list behind Corey Dillon, James Brooks and Joe Mixon.

Johnson was called the 2000 SEC Player of the Year after hurrying for 1, 567 backyards and 13 goals in 12 video games in his only season at Auburn.
